Ewout van Roon: video, music and video art

Impressie · Ewout van Roon

Thank you for taking the time to watch my videos and listen to the music that goes with them.

I'm happy to share this with you, and hope to give you a little beauty and peace along the way. Images to enjoy, to come to yourself, and to drift away with.

For a first impression, watch the trailer 'Impressie video en muziek Ewout van Roon'. I wrote the music for the trailer for the performance/film 'Oerspiegel', more about which follows below.

At exhibitions I show videos and prints of photos taken from my films. And I give video concerts: video images on a large screen with music of my own or by live musicians. See you soon,

Oerspiegel

A film that grew out of the performance OERSPIEGEL. Videos by Ewout van Roon and paintings by Mineke Gravers about the four elements merge together. Videos projected onto paintings with their own audio/music. Syntheses of painting photographs and nature footage. And an ode to the sea. On request, the artists show a number of artworks to the audience and talk about them. The film 'OERSPIEGEL' is available from Filmservice.nl.

Alle dagen kunst

Seven videos without music that together form the series 'Alle dagen kunst' ('Art every day'). 'Slow art': the videos move slowly, allowing you to settle into stillness. This video art is well suited to waiting rooms, shops, restaurants and public spaces, or the living room, in place of the black screen when the television is off.
